Father to Grant and Stella, and husband to Melissa. I’m a washed-up soccer player trying to relive my glory days by coaching my son’s team and helping goalkeepers at the University of Rochester. I’m also a barbecue enthusiast, always looking for an excuse to spend hours smoking aggressively mediocre meat. (No promises it’s edible, but it looks impressive.)
Professional
As a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional and Director of Financial Planning, I get to nerd out daily on spreadsheets, tax strategies, and all the other thrilling things no one else at the dinner table wants to hear about. In addition to my CFP®, I’ve picked up a few extra letters—RICP® and ChFC®—because apparently, I enjoy alphabet soup.
I also have a graduate certificate in financial psychology and behavioral finance. That’s a fancy way of saying I help people stop making emotional decisions about money—like raiding their emergency fund to buy a jet ski during a mid-life crisis. (Though, to be fair, a jet ski does sound fun.)
Passion
Let’s face it—saving isn’t exactly in our DNA. Cavemen didn’t kill a woolly mammoth and think, “Let’s save half for next week’s paleo meal prep.” Yet, money touches almost every aspect of our lives, and somehow we’ve all graduated knowing more about mitochondria being the powerhouse of the cell than how to balance a budget.
My goal is to change that. I help people align their spending and saving with what truly matters to them—whether it’s building memories with loved ones, chasing big dreams, or just enjoying life guilt-free. Money should be a tool, not a source of stress.
